Dr. Jo Mitchell

Experience

Jo is an experienced Chartered Educational Psychologist qualifying in 2004, and has worked in both Local Authority services and private practice.

Following promotional positions in her previous jobs, Jo has developed specialisms in the area of mental health and autism and collaborative practice.

She has managed teams of teachers, assistant psychologists and Educational Psychologists over her career and has been involved in strategic planning and business development side in companies she has worked with.

Prior to setting up Orange Psychology Jo was appointed to the post of Area Principal Psychologist and was in charge of delivery of Counselling, Clinical and Educational Psychology provision across the North West of England, mainly in Lancashire.

In April 2016 Jo became Managing Director of Orange Psychology. The company blends together Jo’s experience to date, and what she feels works in schools and other settings.

Jo is focused on delivering a consistent, flexible and creative model of psychology services to schools and other settings, which puts vulnerable children young people at the heart. (to read more about the model click here)
