SEND/Inclusion Support for Schools

Jane is an experienced practitioner in the field of SEN support, with a degree in Education (Language & Literacy/SEN), and qualifications in Reading Recovery, NASENCO award, and Graduate Teaching Programme. She has led SEND provision in schools, delivered and supported assessment and intervention, and supported strategic overview of SEN within a range of schools.

SEND/Inclusion support available to schools

Support and advice for SENCOs new to the role, including modelling and training where appropriate

Early identification support around all children with additional needs, through observations, assessment and recommendations (e.g. pre-educational psychologist involvement)

Offering advice and support in relation to a range of needs including Cognition & Learning, Speech & Language, Communication & Interactions and Social, Emotional and Mental Health

Support with signposting, report writing and making referrals, (including statutory assessment/EHC requests), to appropriate agencies and services

Chairing person centred planning meetings and providing support and advice for parents and families.

Developing and delivery reading approaches

Strategic support for SLT on implementing SEND Reforms throughout school

Collaboration with Educational Psychology Services (prior to and alongside involvement)
