Orange Psychology Welcomes Brooke Allen to the team

Brooke is a Trainee Educational Psychologist studying at the University of Manchester, due to graduate in 2020. Her doctoral thesis aims to explore the contribution of psychology and the role of the educational psychologist is relation to safeguarding and child sexual exploitation more specifically. 

Prior to becoming a trainee, Brooke has worked in both residential and mainstream schools as a behaviour mentor and has completed a Masters of Research specialising in Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties as a Special Educational Need. Brooke then went on to train as a Social Worker and has experience of working in teams which specialise in child protection, Looked After children and fostering.

Brooke joined the Orange Psychology team in September 2018. She was attracted to Orange because of a keen interest in systemic psychology and applying it to complex problems. She is also keen to work alongside the multi-disciplinary team given her range of experience and skills. Brooke remains a registered Social Worker alongside her role as a Trainee Educational Psychologist and hopes in the future to combine her passion for the two, supporting children and families through times of crisis and difficulty.
